Fun With Food
Well, I tweeted about my dinner party prep & some of the dishes, so now here are a few photos: a dinner party photo essay, if you will! 🙂

Rack of lamb basted with a garlic, pomegranate molasses & za'atar blend, with autumn vegetable medley
And the wines were:
With the bread and cheese starter, and the soup: Felton Road Dry Riesling
With the lamb main: Chateau Mazeris Bellevue Canon Fronsac (courtesy of CP Lin)
With the cake: Main Divide Late Harvest Pokiri Reserve Pinot Gris
The bread was the excellent ciabatta from the Canterbury Cheesemongers, where I also purchased the Meyer Maasdam cheese; the second cheese was the Kapiti Ramara.
I so wish I was there!
When you visit NZ, Gillian—although after this pm’s little spate of earthquakes maybe bide a wee for Christchurch… #notoveryet
I am so sending out wishes for your region to stabilise. If you need a break, you come here and suffer historical food.
Thank you, Gillian, that sounds like a ‘plan.’ Needless to say, I am feeling for people in the Bologna-Modena region of Italy right now.
Looks and sounds delicious. Agree with Gillian.
June, I think it all turned out rather well overall–& fortunately I enjoy the prep.:)
A feast!
It was indeed and a very enjoyable evening all round.
