On Supernatural Underground – Kim Falconer & “Styling Characters”

KimFalconer
Just a headsup that Kim Falconer has another great post up on Supernatural Underground currently:
Styling Characters – More Than Meets The Eye
In it, Kim, discusses the part a character’s clothing can play in establishing personality and position, mood and motivation – well worth a read for anyone interested in the craft of storytelling.
And as Kim points out, not just written storytelling! “Costume” is, after all, one of the categories of Academy Award. 😀

“Hero” — a film that’s all about styling character.
This is the fifth post in Kim’s current “More Than Meets the Eye” series and I think you’ll find the others—on Book Titles, Endings, Backstory, and Environment—equally rewarding. For the compleat list, just scroll to the end of “Styling Characters.”
In addition to catching up on Kim’s latest post, I was also delighted to see this recent 5-star review for Curse of Shadows, #2 in her AMASSIA series (where she writes as AK Wilder):
“I thought Crown of Bones … [AMASSIA #1]… was a great story. Somehow AK managed to make Curse of Shadows even better.”
Since this is pretty much my opinion when it comes to Curse of Shadows, it’s also a reminder call to me that I need to support a friend and fellow author and hurry up already and post on it here.
Watch this space – and in the meantime, check out Styling Characters – More Than Meets The Eye. You won’t be disappointed!
