A Long Weekend
We’re just coming to the close of the ANZAC Day long weekend here, with a few more days tacked on in my case, so I could spend time both in the mountains and beside the sea.

Early morning
The photos are from Hanmer Springs, not far from Christchurch, and as you can see, it’s getting a bit brrrh in the mornings and evenings now. And yep, you’re right, that’s definitely snow on the hilltops.

Sunset
But as you can see, I’m enjoying the break.
However, if you would like to check in on ANZAC Day’s commemorative meaning, here’s the selection of previous ANZAC Day posts that I pulled together for last year:
The ANZAC Memorial and the Words of M. Kemal Atatürk
Some ANZAC Themed NZ Children’s Books
ANZAC Diary: A Nonentity in Khaki by Anonymous
