Adapting Homer :)

All of half a week ago (not to be confused with Half A World — nods to Joe Abercrombie) I posted on watching Christopher Nolan’s film adaptation of The Odyssey.

And although it’s not necessarily an “of course”, I have dipped into the business of adapting The Odyssey (and related myths), from time to time — which makes me one among a multitude in its near-three thousand year-old history. 😀

So far, my adaptations have been in the form of short stories, and a sequence of poems I call Ithaca Conversations. All of which comprise a slant-wise (to paraphrase Emily Dickinson) look at characters and events from The Odyssey et al, and some of which are available on my website/blog.
