Time To Give In & Admit It…
… I’ve been laid low with the midwinter ills for most of the past two weeks and keeping up with the blog posts and comments has been a considerable struggle—though I think most of them have at least managed to seem ‘lucid’ if this is not always how I felt while posting!
I am slowly starting to come right now though, but still feel I owe myself an easy day or two.
But I have to say that although it is always nice to see your own work get positive feedback ‘out thar’ it can be equally gratifying to see positive feedback flowing for other writers, especially when you’ve read and enjoyed your work themselves.
You may recall that I talked about Fredrik Brounéous’s The Prince of Soul And the Lighthouse way back on March 9, here.
Well I have been delighted recently to see it receive more positive reviews further afield:
- From two Amazon reviewers, here (scroll down to see the reviews)
- And on Finnish-based site, Risingshadow, here
Go the PRINCE, I say! 🙂

And if you missed it earlier in the week, you can still read my interview with Kim Falconer on SF Signal, here-–it’s to be the first in a guest series titled “Fun with Friends”, focusing on New Zealand and Australian speculative fiction authors.
I hope you feel better soon, Helen!
Thanks, Wen — have managed the whole day on my feet today though didn’t leave the house (freezing wind, aye!) but #maybetomorrow 🙂
Take enough time off and get properly well. Winter bugs can endure for ages if you don’t. *hugs*
