A Few More Photos From The Launch
I did an initial write up of the real time launch for The Gathering of the Lost the following day, on April 4, here.
And there was a far more official write up on Beatties Bookblog on Saturday here.
I am not going to say a lot more words here except to reiterate what I said in Wednesday’s post—that it was a great evening and just such a nice feeling to celebrate with so many good friends—76 of you in all if I counted right—and the more so after everything life has thrown at us here in Christchurch over the past 18 months.
But since a picture is held to speak a thousand words, here are a few more for you. 🙂

You did very well to have refreshments at your launch.
June, UBS did the refreshments with a contribution from my publisher, but I wouldn’t have a launch if I couldn’t do refreshments–you can’t ask people to come to a party and listen to speeches and not offer them refreshments! (That’s my ‘country gal’ upbringing talking!)
It looks great!
I agree about the refreshments – my mother still says “If it moves, feed it.” I’m not a country girl, though, and nor is anyone on that side of the family (big cities as far back as the records go) so maybe it’s a sign of something else.
Gillian, it was great! As for the refreshments—traditions of hospitality perhaps then, however they may come in.:)
