Just a quick note to say that we had an absolutely fabulous realtime launch for The Gathering of the Lost last night—with big thanks to Philip King, Gillian Newman and the University Book Shop for hosting, my NZ publisher Hachette for their support, and to Dr Christina Stachurski, my lead editor Kate Nintzel, and my partner Andrew for their good words on the occasion.

Mary, it was a great crowd and a great evening. So nice to ‘press pause’ and have a celebration with friends. I shall try and get a fuller report up tomorrow—and more photos. I was really lucky to have two excellent photographers, again both friends, ‘on the job’ 🙂

June, it was a great launch with all up around 70 people there. I hope to have some time tomorrow to post a fuller account. I think there’s going to be something on Beatties Bookblog on it, too, over the weekend or early next week.
