‘Place As Person’ A Guest Author Series Celebrating the Newly Released “River” Anthology
“When you put your hand in a flowing stream, you touch the last that has gone before and the first of what is still to come.” —Leonardo daVinci
The River anthology, published by Dark Quest, is an anthology of short fiction edited by Australian author Alma Alexander that is—not surprisingly given its title—themed around rivers. My friend and fellow writer, Mary Victoria, is one of the contributors and to celebrate release of the anthology she has been hosting an author guest series on her blog, titled “Place as Person.”
The series was introduced here, and there have already been five excellent posts in the series, which I invite you to read by clicking on the author’s name (listed immediately below):
I am honoured that Mary has asked me to participate in the series as well, and my post, titled “Place As Person: What Does It Mean When Telling Story?” will post on her blog a little later today.
I will post the specific link when it does, but in the meantime, enjoy the five excellent guest posts featured on Mary’s blog to date.

And Don’t Forget the Giveaway!
Remember that there’s two copies (signed of course) of the new UK mass market edition of The Heir of Night (yellow cover!) for me to give away—if you’d like one, leave a comment on Friday’s blog post, here, or on my guest post on the Orbit website—“The Evolution of Character: Malian of Night and the Heroic Tradition”—here, before 12 midnight on Sunday 15 (NZ time.)
Thanks for the shout out, Helen! And your post is up now too, after a few technical wrangles this morning.
